Special Requirements of Position:
: Teach knowledge and skills in art, including drawing, painting, and crafting. To be a representative of the program for the parents.

Work Environment/Hours Worked:
Will be required to work at assigned location of class. Work hours will be take place during evenings and weekends and will be determined by schedule set for the art classes by the Kenner Parks and Recreation Department, Leisure Service Division.

Communication Skills:
This individual must be able to read and to be able to comprehend directions from the Leisure Service Supervisor concerning various rules and regulations set forth by the Kenner Parks and Recreation Department, Leisure Service Division. Must be able to act as a mediator and supervisor if a dispute occurs during class.

Equipment Used:
Canvas, paints, and various craft items and supplies.

Physical Involvement:
Standing, bending, moving and lifting constantly during class instruction time.

Mental Involvement:
Must be able to communicate in English both orally and in writing. Must be able to comprehend verbal or written direction and instructions from the Leisure Service Manager or Leisure Service Supervisor.

Human Relations Involvement:
To be able to monitor and respond in a responsible manner in various situations and to maintain an objective attitude, tact and discretion under these conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be age 18 or older with a strong background in Art and crafting

Desirable Qualifications:
Prior teaching background in Art or a strong background in art classes and instruction.
