Special Requirements of Position:
1.Supervises all work activities of clerical staff including; scheduling duties, monitoring work load, making reassignments when necessary, scheduling breaks, lunch and vacations to ensure efficient office operations. 2.Trains subordinates in various phases of department procedures and keeps Director informed of office operations. 3.Relieves Department Director of operational and office administration details.

Work Environment/Hours Worked:
The Assistant Finance Director is required to work in an office setting, climate controlled environment adhering to City of Kenner policy.

Communication Skills:
Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Must be able to communicate successfully with public and other city employees.

Physical Involvement:
Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting and moving job related materials/equipment as needed.

Mental Involvement:
Employee must understand and interpret written and verbal instructions from Finance Director. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Human Relations Involvement:

Minimum Qualifications:
1 High school graduate or equivalent. 2.Must have two years experience with municipal finance and operations or related job experience and knowledge. 3.Must have basic knowledge of computers. 4.A unique combination of technical organizational and social skills.
